The playoffs are here and it is win or go home from here on out. For the Cleveland Browns, to even be here is pretty special with the adversity they’ve faced.

Through all of the season-ending injuries, the Browns have remained grounded and survived on a great defense. Along with the defense, the run game has had its spurts of success and the passing game has taken off as of late.

Joe Flacco, who is 4-1 as a starter with the Browns, has really ignited the passing game and taken Cleveland to the next level. The Browns are receiving respect from a Super Bowl contender out of the NFC.

“Cleveland is a scary team in the AFC though,” Sam Francisco 49ers DT Arik Armstead said via Tidal League. “I just think they’re a scary team just with that defense and their ability to run the ball. I think they can make it a close game. In the playoffs, that’s what you need is defense and running the ball.”

Back in Week 6, the Browns defeated the 49ers and Armstead by a score of 19-17. Cleveland was already onto their third quarterback in that game with P.J. Walker. Despite two interceptions and no touchdowns by Walker, Cleveland squeaked out a win over the 12-5 49ers.

Armstead did not go up against Flacco in that game but has taken notice of what the veteran quarterback has been able to come off of the couch and do.

“I’ve been watching from afar. It’s a crazy story, there’s a lot of great stories around the league,” Armstead said.

It all starts for the Browns at 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in Houston when they take on the Texans for the second time in a month.
