The Cincinnati Bengals won't be traveling to London, England next season, but an international game could still be in the cards for them.

Four clubs were selected Thursday morning to play over in Europe next season, with the Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Minnesota Vikings earning games in London.

The Bengals don't play any of those teams in 2024, but they will play the team slated to go to Munich, Germany.

The Carolina Panthers were chosen to play in Allianz Arena, home of the FC Bayern Munich fútbol team. As the last place team in the NFC South, they'll face the Bengals at some point during next season.

Why are the Bengals playing the Panthers in 2024? AFC North clubs will face the entire NFC East, as well as one team from the NFC division they played two seasons ago based on how they finished in their division last year.

The AFC North faced the NFC South in 2022, and since the Bengals and Panthers were each last place teams in 2023, they'll play each other this upcoming season.

Cincinnati facing Carolina overseas would make sense because divisional matchups are very rarely scheduled for the league's International Series games, and inter-conference games are conversely pretty frequent.

The Panthers are also the host team, and their matchup against the Bengals will be a home game. They'll also host the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Los Angeles Chargers during the season.

The Bengals essentially have a one-in-six chance at playing in Munich for the first time ever, and considering they haven't gone across the Atlantic Ocean since 2019, the league may chose to end that drought now.
