The Chicago Bears have released their final injury report leading up to their home finale against the Atlanta Falcons, which showed some bad news heading into the weekend.
The team announced following Friday's practice that wide receiver Darnell Mooney will be listed as out for Sunday's game with a concussion.
Tight end Cole Kmet (knee) and center Lucas Patrick (knee) will both be listed as questionable going into the weekend. Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said after practice on Friday that it looks good for both players despite their official designation.
Here's the official look at the team's final injury report released on Friday:
Sunday's game will be the first missed game of the 2023 season for Mooney. The Bears starting wide receiver self reported his concussion symptoms early in the week and did not participate during the entire week of practice.
Kmet returned to practice as a limited participant on Friday after not participating on Wednesday or Thursday. The Bears tight end was listed as questionable last week as well but ended up suiting up and hauled in four receptions for a career-high 107 receiving yards.
Some good news for the Bears, wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown and rookie linebacker Noah Sewell both were full participants throughout the entire week. St. Brown has missed the Bears last three games with a pectoral injury. Sewell has missed four of the team's last five games with a knee injury.
St. Brown's impact and return to the lineup will be a major boost for the Bears with Mooney out on Sunday. If Kmet is unable to suit up against the Falcons, tight end Robert Tonyan will be expected to have a higher workload. As for Patrick, who returned to practice the last two days, if he is unable to suit up then expect to see Cody Whitehair return to the lineup at center.
More good news, starting left guard Teven Jenkins officially cleared concussion protocol and is expected to return for the Bears in Week 17 after missing last week's game and leaving early in Week 15 with a concussion. Jenkins was a full participant during each day of practice this week.
