Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb had such an amazing night on Saturday's controversial win over the Detroit Lions that his goal-line fumble which turned the ball over is nothing more than an afterthought.
Even with that fumble, Lamb still had a fantastic outing good for 13 catches and 227 yards, including a 92-yard grab he had when working the scramble drill with his quarterback, Dak Prescott.
"Shoutout Dak for using his legs," Lamb told reporters postgame. "And then I just did what I could, stayed available for him, he just gave me an opportunity and I finished it."
In the process of beating the Lions, Lamb also took away two single-season records from Michael Irvin. He's now the Cowboys wide receiver with the most yards and catches in a single season.
Before Lamb left AT&T Stadium to celebrate appropriately, though, the NFL tried to ruin his moment with a little piece of paper waiting for him in his locker room.
CeeDee uploaded an Instagram story showing an issued drug test, which are supposedly random. Per the message, he was required to report ASAP with the Doping Control Officer.
Based on the fact that he even made it public, it's definitely fair to assume Cowboys fans shouldn't be worried at all about Lamb testing positive.
But players and media love to poke fun at the league when this random tests have too-good-to-be-true timings like on Saturday. Of all of the games this season, of course CeeDee got a notice on the very day he went for 227 yards. Chances are it's really a coincidence but they certainly tried to spoil Lamb's big night.
You gotta love No. 88 having some fun with it, though. He let reporters know he really doesn't like losing last week and he proved it on Saturday by being an absolute game-changer for the offense.
