Cleveland Browns now know how they should handle the final week of the regular season.

With a playoff spot locked up, the Browns should be taking a look at resting their starters in Cincinnati against the Bengals.

After the Baltimore Ravens convincing blowout over the Miami Dolphins, Cleveland is locked in as the No. 5 seed no matter what happens in Week 18.

Coming into the game, Browns would have a chance at the No. 1 seed if the Ravens lost their final two games and Cleveland won. It is no longer possible and alternate outcome isn’t such a bad thing either.

The Browns have dealt with more than their fair share of injuries this season and could just be one from it all falling apart. Not playing your starters in Week 18 because the win/loss has no outcome is an obvious choice.

Cleveland signed Jeff Driskel to the active roster to have three quarterbacks, so that P.J. Walker will have a backup when he likely starts on Sunday in Cincinnati.

As of right now, Browns fans should be prepared to travel to Jacksonville. The team will likely play the Jaguars in the Wildcard.
