The Las Vegas Raiders have some very tough and important decisions to make this offseason. The head coaching and general manager gigs will become available, and owner Mark Davis cannot mess up a third one in a row.
The head coaching gig could very well end up being Antonio Pierce, who is currently the interim head coach, but we just don't know. The same goes for Champ Kelly, the interim GM filling in for Dave Ziegler, who was let go.
What we do know is that both guys have done some impressive things since being in that interim role. One of the things they have both been responsible for is the relationships, camaraderie, and culture change that has taken place inside the building. Not to mention, the players like both of these guys.
Recently, Maxx Crosby told a story about Champ Kelly that may make Raiders fans like him even more. It's kind of long, but it's definitely worth the listen. Here is the video:
I think Raiders fans will appreciate that type of humor from Kelly, considering it felt like Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler didn't show it that often. Then again, they may have known they were close to being fired soon.
Kelly seems like he could be the perfect man for the job, but only time will tell.
