Sunday will mark the last game of the 2023 season for the New England Patriots, and it will be against their AFC Division foe.

And the latest report has just made the Patriots' path to victory much easier.

On Wednesday, New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh announced that quarterback Zach Wilson has not cleared concussion protocol. Because of that, he is already ruled out for Sunday's game.

Wilson previously played in the Jets loss to the Patriots earlier this season. However this time, it will be Trevor Siemian who gets the start, with Brett Rypien serving as the backup.

And a win for the Patriots on Sunday would mark their 16th in a row over the Jets.

While this matchup might not be the most competitive in the NFL for the final week, there are a lot of storylines surrounding the game.

With Wilson out, it might mean he has taken his final snap for the Jets. And New York will also be without Dalvin Cook, who they mutually parted ways with earlier in the week.

On the Patriots side of things, this could be Bill Belichick's final game in New England.

Another thing to watch out for is the Patriots currently hold the No. 3 overall and a loss could solidly that for them. But with the latest news, a loss has become more unlikely. So their top pick could drop a bit.

Let's see what happens.
