The Green Bay Packers put themselves in position (and had a little help) to control their own destiny in week 18. So if they beat the Chicago Bears, they are in the playoffs. But that doesn't mean the NFC rivalry game is the only one that matters on Sunday.

The Packers still have the opportunity to reach the sixth seed, therefore Green Bay fans root against the Los Angeles Rams in the exciting Carson Wentz-Sam Darnold derby. And there's also a chance for the Packers to make the playoffs even losing to the Bears, but that would demand losses from the Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, and New Orleans Saints or Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

So, let's check out the Packers fan guide for week 18 — every game that matters for Green Bay will be played on Sunday.

Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions, noon CT

The Packers have a 72% chance of reaching the playoffs if the Lions win, and 58% if the Vikings win, because Minnesota is one of the teams that should lose for the Packers to get in even with a loss to the Bears.

The good news is that Detroit is still fighting for the second seed, so they will play their starters according to head coach Dan Campbell. After a disappointing performance from rookie Jaren Hall against the Packers last Sunday, veteran Nick Mullens is back as the Vikings starting quarterback.

Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints, noon CT

If the Packers lose, they need one of the Saints or the Bucs to lose. As nobody would expect a Bucs loss to the Panthers, this is the most realistic path. If the Falcons win, the Packers have a 74% of making the playoffs, against a 65% chance with a Saints win.

The Falcons are out of the wild card race, but they still can technically reach the playoffs, which means they are playing with full force — Atlanta can be the NFC South champions with a win and a Bucs loss.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers, noon CT

If the Saints win, the Packers would need a Panthers upset to make the playoffs with a loss to the Bears. And they would need a Bryce Young type of performance like he had against… Green Bay.

If the Panthers win, Green Bay would have a 74% chance of making the playoffs. It's a 64% chance if the Bucs confirm the most likely result. The Panthers don't need to tank, because they don't have their own pick — which will be the first overall anyway —, so there's value in playing their starters to give Young more experience.

Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers, 3:25pm CT

The Rams don't affect the Packers chances of reaching the playoffs, but they do affect Green Bay's scenarios if it gets there. A Packers win over the Bears combined with a Rams loss to the 49ers guarantees the sixth seed for Green Bay.

That would mean facing the third seed instead of the second in the wild card round — probably the Detroit Lions instead of the Dallas Cowboys. Moreover, in a rare 6th vs 7th seed in the NFC Championship Game scenario, the Packers would have the advantage of playing at Lambeau Field.

Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals, 3:25pm CT

The Packers won't know if they can lose before their own game because the Seahawks play at the same time. If Green Bay loses to Chicago, they would need a Seahawks loss as well. It's a 79% chance with a Cardinals win, and 58% chance with a Seattle win.

The good news here is that the Cardinals are coming from a huge win over the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday, so a Kyler Murray-led offense is still dangerous. Meanwhile, the Seahawks lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, which put the Packers in position to control their own destiny in week 18.
