The Las Vegas Raiders have one of the highest-graded rookies in the entire league at his position. Yet, for some reason, there are still fans around the fan base who hate his season performance.

The Raiders did not make the playoffs again, but that doesn't mean everything has to be negative. We can look at the positives from this season as well. One of those was not the offense, but instead a player who played on the offense – a rookie, too.

The offense was one of the worst in the league. It had its moments, like the historic game against the Los Angeles Chargers, but even then, the defense set up the offense in short field position more than a few times.

What we can say, though, is that rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell had some good moments. He may not have wowed you or proven that he is a guy you can build around, but he did show good moments. But you may be surprised that he was the second-highest-graded rookie quarterback in the league.

According to Pro Football Focus, only the Houston Texans' standout quarterback, C.J. Stroud, who will likely win Offensive Rookie of the Year, has a better PFF grade than Aidan O'Connell's 65.6.

Considering how the season has gone and the way the fans talk about O'Connell, you would think he has been bad. But that's a decent grade for a round-four rookie who plays the hardest position in the league on one of the worst offenses.

The Raiders have some serious decisions to make on what they want from O'Connell. Should they still draft a quarterback? Yes. But what he has shown hasn't been bad.
