FOXBOROUGH, Mass – The New England Patriots were prepping for a game in poor conditions all week.
But there is still an element of surprise when they step out there and truly take in the conditions.
That was exactly the case for Ezekiel Elliott.
"When I was younger, I always wanted to play a game in the snow," he told reporters after the game. "Then I play a game in the snow and was like, that kind of sucked.”
After seven seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, Ezekiel Elliott decided to head elsewhere for the next part of his career. And he decided on the chilly temperatures in New England.
However, this season he was met with a lot of rain instead of snow. But the final game of the 2023 season delivered on the traditional Massachusetts weather.
It starter out with light flurries in the morning, but by kick off, it truly picked up.

During commercial breaks and timeouts, they even had people clearing the lines.
This certainly made it much harder for the Patriots offense because of those condition.
"“It’s tough to throw the ball in that weather," Elliott said. "Wish we were a bit better on the ground today. Wish we were able to run it more. Glad for the way the guys competed today.”
