Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase spoke like a player who's taking the field this week, and that's the expectation.
Per NFL insiders Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport, there is optimism that Chase will suit up Sunday afternoon against the Kansas City Chiefs despite having an AC joint sprain.
Chase is officially questionable for the late afternoon contest in Kansas City after practicing twice this past week. The third-year player was limited in both practices.
On Friday, Chase told reporters he'd talk to head coach Zac Taylor prior to kickoff about whether or not he can play. He'll have a warmup session likely to test out his pain level and if he can play through it.
Cincinnati desperately missed Chase last week during a 34-11 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was the first game Chase has missed in over a year, and it was due to him suffering a shoulder injury a week prior against the Minnesota Vikings.
This game is essentially a must-win for the Bengals, and it's looking like one of their best players is going to be out there.
