The Detroit Lions had no answer for Lamar Jackson during the first quarter of their Week 7 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

Jackson anchored two touchdown drives in the opening quarter of the contest, including one that culminated in a 12-yard receiving score from Nelson Agholor. Even as it seemed at one point that the Lions would come away with a crucial stop on third down, the sixth-year passer managed to buy some time and connect with Agholor in the end zone.

Jackson tallied 156 passing yards and two total touchdowns in the first quarter against the current NFC North leaders.

Overall, Jackson became just the third quarterback over the last 20 seasons to record at least 150 passing yards, one touchdown pass, and one rushing touchdown in an opening quarter of a game, as noted by ESPN Stats and Info. Michael Vick in the 2010 season and Shaun Hill in the 2014 campaign are the only other quarterbacks to achieve this feat.

It sure is quite impressive for Jackson to log such stats in a first quarter considering that even Cam Newton did not manage to do so during his prime days with the Carolina Panthers.

The Ravens are looking to pick up a pivotal win over Detroit to remain in first place in the AFC North standings.
