The Buffalo Bills are struggling right now against the New England Patriots. It started with the New England Patriots marching down the field on the very first drive of the game. Once Buffalo got the ball back, Josh Allen threw right to the reciever.
A couple of missed reads, the offensive line getting blown up early in the contest, and Allen just not being able to find his rhythm have the Bills down against the 1-5 Patriots early on in the contest.
Early in the first half, the Bills were driving down the field, gathering some momentum. Allen found Dawson Knox wide-open in the back of the endzone and the Bills Mafia started celebrating. However, that's when the penalty flag came in.
RB Latavius Murray was called for a penalty that negated the touchdown and we have to admit, it was one of the worst calls we've ever seen. The defender could be seen running into Murray, not the other way around.
It's these kind of calls, on these kind of plays, that allow bad teams to stay in football games. The New England Patriots are finding a way to stay in this contest not because they are the better team necessarily, but because Buffalo just cannot find a way to get out of their current slump.
Injuries to the interior of the defensive line are a major focus for Bill Belichick and the Patriots as the team has found the endzone on the ground while gashing through the middle of the depleted Bills' defensive line.
We're not making excuses, but that call was just abysmal and adds to the bad taste already in our mouths from what has been happening this game. Luckily, there's a second half yet to come and Buffalo gets the ball first.
Need to make something happen.
