The Seattle Seahawks have been excitedly waiting for Jaxon Smith-Njigba to break out since they drafted him.

The thought of pairing one of the best wide receivers to ever play for one of the best college football programs of all time with guys like Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf was too good to be true. Unfortunately, it just took some time for that to happen.

The first half of the season may have been a little slow relative to expectations, but it is fair to say that JSN has finally arrived.

The Cardinals may look like pushovers on paper, but the Seahawks have known all week that this game was going to be extremely important for the long-term season success of this franchise.

Winning proves plenty about the playoff validity of this roster. Losing would start to create some questions about said playoff chances.

The need to win today was lost on no one, especially not Smith-Njigba.

With a touchdown, tied for the most receptions on the team, and a season-high in receiving yards with 63, it is obvious that Smith-Njigba was ready to step up when it mattered most.

The good news for Seattle fans is that this is just the start. If this is what they are getting out of JSN after just seven games, just imagine where he will be after 17 if he can keep this up.

The breakout is finally here. Now, the name of the game is ensuring that JSN stays at this level. He seems up to the task.
