Lamar Jackson bolstered his odds for the 2023 AP NFL MVP award during the Baltimore Ravens’ 38-6 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 7.

Jackson anchored Baltimore’s offense to six scoring drives against Detroit, including five that culminated in a touchdown. For a Ravens offense that entered Week 7 averaging 22.2 points per game, the Lamar Jackson-led sure group put together one of the biggest statement performances by any team this season.

Overall, Jackson tallied four total touchdowns on the day, including one rushing score. He has logged five career games with at least three passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.

Tom Brady and Drew Brees share the all-time record for the most games in NFL history with at least three touchdown passes and one rushing score, as noted by StatMuse. The two future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterbacks each logged nine such games.

It sure is only a matter of time before Jackson moves above both Brady and Brees on this leaderboard.

With the Ravens’ win over the current NFC North leaders, they stayed put in first place in the AFC North standings with a 5-2 record.
