The Week 7 opponent for the Cleveland Browns took a major hit on Tuesday.

Defensive tackle Grover Stewart has been suspended by the NFL for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

It will be a six-game suspension for Stewart, so the Browns and the Colts' next five opponents won’t have to game-plan for him. Stewart is the best run-stopper on the Colts’ roster. He’s a veteran defensive tackle that has played in 72 straight games for Indianapolis.

Against the San Francisco 49ers, the run game finally got going a bit for the Browns for the first time since losing Nick Chubb in Week 2. With the Colts now missing their best-run defender, it should be an area where the Browns feed Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt.

Cleveland hopes to have All-Pro left guard Joel Bitonio back too, which would be huge for them with a lesser Colts defensive line on the schedule. Michael Dunn started in Bitonio’s place against the 49ers but he’s been sent to the injured reserve with a calf injury.

The loss of Stewart will be a noticeable one for the Colts and one that the Browns should try to take advantage of.
