Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks had his best game as a member of America's Team on Monday as he caught four passes in four targets for 36 yards and a touchdown.

While these are not Earth-shattering numbers we're talking about, Cooks was there for his quarterback and got to show off in multiple ways. He got himself a high-pointing catch in the air, got work in a scramble drill, and displayed his speed in a great touchdown catch.

Lined up from the right side near the goal line, Cooks darted to the other side of the field on a horizontal route as Dak Prescott bought time backpedaling before dropping it right in the bucket for his receiver.

But Cooks' best moment of the game wasn't any of those, as fans might believe after watching the game. His biggest highlight of the day happened on the sidelines when he picked up Michael Gallup after dropping a would've-been touchdown.

"Greatness!" Brandin Cooks yelled to Gallup, a scene shown in the Cowboys' Sounds from the Sidelines social media series. "That's what you are, don't forget that! I'm gonna say I told you so!"

The drop in question was particularly frustrating as it was arguably Dak Prescott's best pass in the game. On first-and-ten, Prescott targeted Gallup over the seam and delivered a perfect ball. A defensive pass interference likely should've been called but it still hit Gallup in both his hands.

All in all, Gallup was targeted ten times and had only three catches to show for it. While not all incompletions were on him, he struggled to generate separation throughout the game and hasn't been on the same page as Prescott in a while.

A lot was said about Cooks' veteran presence and leadership in the locker room when the Cowboys traded for him in March. On Monday, he showed exactly what that looked like.

If this team wants to achieve their Super Bowl aspirations, everyone will need to be as bought in as Cooks appears to be.
