The Tennessee Titans are on a bye week this weekend but head coach Mike Vrabel will still be busy traveling to his old stomping grounds of Foxborough, Massachusetts.
The former New England Patriots All-Pro linebacker will be honored for his past success as they induct him into their Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 21.
Vrabel, who spent seven seasons with the Pats (2001-2008), appeared in 125 games with 110 starts for the Patriots under head coach Bill Belichick where he helped them bring home three Super Bowl Lombardi trophies.
He logged a total 606 tackles, 48 sacks and 11 interceptions, while also reeling in 10 receptions for 10 touchdowns with New England.
If you ask Belichick his thoughts on his former linebacker being inducted into the franchise's Hall of Fame, he's not surprised one bit:
“No surprise that he went into coaching. No surprise that he’s been successful." Vrabel told reporters during Friday's presser.
Vrabel will be inducted with Dante Scarnecchia, who won five Super Bowls as the Patriots’ offensive line coach and spent a total of 34 seasons with the organization throughout his coaching tenure.
Due to weather conditions, the event has been moved indoors and is closed to the public.
