Green Bay Packers legend, Mason Crosby, could be on the way toward finding a new NFL home after months of waiting for his next opportunity.

Per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, Crosby will work out for the Los Angeles Rams on Wednesday with the hopes of joining the team. It's an interesting move by the Rams, as the team just swiped Lucas Havrisik off the Cleveland Browns' practice squad and signed him to the 53-man roster.

While the Rams are now on the hook for at least three game checks, it doesn't mean Havrisik's job is secure. If the team likes what it sees from Crosby then they could easily part ways with Havrisik and sign the veteran kicker. If that's the case, the Rams still have to pay Havrisik three game checks, which totals out to just $125k since he has zero accrued seasons under his belt. Right now, the Rams have just under $4.373 million in cap space, so both moves are feasible if the situation comes to that.

Crosby is the Packers' all-time leading scorer and helped the team win a Super Bowl back in 2010. The Packers parted ways with him over the offseason and drafted his successor, Anders Carlson, in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Carlson missed the first field goal attempt of his career during Sunday's loss to the Denver Broncos, but has been pretty solid outside of the gaffe. So far, he's made 88.9% of his field goal attempts (8-of-9) and he's made every single PAT.

Crosby put out a video a couple of months ago essentially showing that he was still training and keeping in shape. Crosby had his knee scoped over the offseason, which delayed his availability for training camp. Overall, the 16-year veteran has made 81.4% of his field goal attempts (395-of-485) and 97.3% of his PATs. He also has a over a dozen game-winners to his name.
