The NFL trade deadline is less than a week away and team's are going to start looking into who they should move and acquire in the coming days. The most important thing to watch for in the upcoming trades is the draft capital that is being moved around.

This is increasing valuable for team's currently in the middle of a rebuild, or expecting to soon enter into one. Teams currently in a rebuild, such as the Chicago Bears, could explore trading away players in order to stock up on future picks.

Contending teams with plenty of draft capital however, can easily afford to dish out some picks before the deadline in order to acquire an impactful player who can come in handy during a playoff run.

The 2024 and 2025 NFL Drafts will be critical events that can help shape the future of the Bears and their current rebuild. With that in mind, here's the current look at the draft picks that the Bears have over the course of the next two drafts.

2024 Draft Capital

  • 1st round pick
  • 1st round pick via the Panthers in the Bryce Young
  • 2nd round pick
  • 3rd round pick
  • 4th round pick
  • 4th round pick via the Eagles in the Jalen Carter/Darnell Wright pick swap
  • 5th round pick

Trading away the number one overall pick back in April to the Carolina Panthers already looks great given how well wide receiver DJ Moore has played this season and the fact that the trade also included the Panthers 2024 first-round pick. Carolina's 2024 first currently would be the number one pick, according to Tankathon.

2025 Draft Capital

  • 1st round pick
  • 2nd round pick via the Panthers in the Bryce Young
  • 2nd round pick
  • 3rd round pick
  • 4th round pick
  • 5th round pick
  • 6th round pick
  • 6th round pick via MIA in the Chase Claypool trade

To put a cap on the Bryce Young trade, the Bears will also receive the Panthers 2025 second-round pick. The Bears will be adding an extra pick again in 2025 after trading wide receiver Chase Claypool to the Miami Dolphins back on October 6th.

Clearly, the Bears are already stocked with capital that they can either add to or trade away for another team's young player. We'll see how this list changes over the coming days and how aggressive general manager Ryan Poles wants to be at the deadline.
