Jalen Ramsey has been sidelined for the first seven weeks of the 2023 season after suffering a torn meniscus during training camp, and was placed on injured reserve.

However, with a big division matchup against the New England Patriots this Sunday, it appeared that he might be making his return.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the cornerback was set to make his return on Sunday.

However, Ramsey didn't hold back, rebutting that report on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"So this is why I just got a crazy amount of texts. Well this is news to me," Ramsey wrote. "mfs don't care about being right, they care about being first in today's media. That's sad."

He followed it up with another post, providing a little more insight into his initial reaction. And based on that, him playing isn't ruled out, but it certainly isn't as clear cut as this has been made to sound.

"Full transparency, there’s a CHANCE that I can play this Sunday, but that decision genuinely isn’t made yet so that is news to me just like it is to y’all lol I have to go through a whole process to feel GREAT enough to play. I won’t play if I feel any less than GREAT," he said. "… I’m a glass half full type guy tho so I’m claiming a great two days for my body in hopes to turn up come Sunday I musta looked good in practice today

Ramsey would be a key piece in Sunday's game, looking to stop a Patriots offense that has seemed to find their way after beating the Buffalo Bills.

And this wouldn't just be his 2023 season debut, but it would also mark his first game with the Dolphins.

But, as things stand, fans might have to wait just a little longer to see him on the field.
