After a week off, Cleveland Browns football is back in Week 6 of the NFL season.
San Francisco is in The Land today for a matchup with the Browns. The 49ers come in as one of just a couple of NFL teams that remain undefeated.
Coming out of the bye week, the Browns are going to have to make it happen without Deshaun Watson against a Super Bowl contender. It’s not ideal but the beat goes on and this is how the NFL works.

How will P.J. Walker fair against the 49ers?
Up from the practice squad is Walker for his first start with the Browns. He is in a tough spot against a really good 49ers’ defense but will look to make the most of it. Cleveland has to see something in him by giving him the backup job from Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
Can the defense continue playing well against the 49ers?
Joel Bitonio is not playing and that is a real concern for the left side of the line that includes a struggling Jedrick Wills Jr. With players like Fred Warner and Nick Bosa on the 49ers defense, they’re star studded and there is no hole throughout.
Can the run game finally find its way?
Since losing Nick Chubb, the Browns running game has been downright bad. The Browns are going to try to run the ball at some sort of success rate to keep it out of the hands of the 49ers, who have a very good defense. Cleveland badly needs Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt to get going.
3 Players to watch
- QB P.J. Walker: As mentioned, Walker is in a tough spot against an incredible 49ers team. Walker does have some experience spot starting in his career. Being quick, not holding onto the ball, and limiting turnovers should be the goal for Walker.
- DE Myles Garrett: If the Browns’ defense wants to continue playing at an elite level, they’re going to have to slow a very good San Francisco offense. Garrett getting pressure on pivotal is crucial in this game, it’s one of the few ways to slow their offense.
- LB Anthony Walker Jr.: Christian Mccafrey is having a great year and is going to be tough to stop. The linebackers are going to have to make tackles, limit missed tackles, and not allow McCaffrey to get to the next level. I key in on Walker as one that has to step up.
