Marcus Williams came away from the Baltimore Ravens’ 24-16 win over the Tennessee Titans with a hamstring injury.

Williams suffered the hamstring injury on Geno Stone’s interception return in the third quarter. He attempted to block on the play, and he ended up going down after colliding with two Titans players. The veteran safety was initially listed as questionable to return, but he ultimately sat out the remainder of the contest. He recorded one total tackle in 37 snaps played on defense against Tennessee.

The Ravens will square off with the Detroit Lions in Week 7, and as head coach John Harbaugh touched on during a press conference on Monday, the safety’s status for the game is currently up in the air.

"[It's] not a long-term hamstring [injury], but hamstrings are finicky," Harbaugh said. "So, it's not going to be a couple of days. It's going to be week to week, probably. I think he's going to be really iffy for this week, and after that, we'll see where it goes."

Williams has featured in three games with the Ravens this year. He was sidelined from three contests earlier in the season due to a pec ailment suffered in Baltimore’s regular season opener against the Houston Texans.

If Williams does not receive the green light to play in Week 7, then Stone is expected to once again be called on to help replace the seventh-year defensive back.
