Which rookie will shine brighter: C.J. Stroud or Bijan Robinson?

Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud and Falcons running back Bijan Robinson have quickly adjusted to the NFL game and both have started off their careers at a historic rate.

Stroud was named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Month after throwing for 906 yards, 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions during the month of September. Stroud is 27 pass attempts away from passing Dak Prescott for the most attempts without an interception to start an NFL career.

Robinson leads the Falcons with 318 rushing yards and leads the team with 19 receptions on the season. Robinson is on pace to break the Falcons single-season record for receptions by a running back.

Both players have been absolutely exceptional to start off the season and will finally get the opportunity to show off on the same field. Stroud will be going up against the Falcons defense that ranks 5th in passing yards allowed per game (176.3) and 10th in points per game allowed (19.3), according to ESPN.

Stroud has thrown for 280+ passing yards and 2+ passing touchdowns in three straight games. The Falcons have not allowed an opposing quarterback to throw for over 250 yards in a game all season.

Robinson will be facing off against the Texans defense, which has allowed 116.5 rushing yards per game to opposing running backs this season. The Falcons are undefeated at home in 2023 and rushed for 341 yards as a team in those two games.

3 other players to watch:

OL Tytus Howard- The Texans 2019 first-round pick is set to make his season debut against the Falcons after missing the first four games of the season with a fractured hand. Houston's offensive line should see a major boost with Howard back in the fold.

WR Robert Woods- Atlanta is tied for 8th in third-down percentage on defense, allowing opposing offenses to move the chains 33.3 percent of the time. Woods is the key to moving the sticks, he's caught 9 of his 18 receptions on 3rd-down in 2023.

LB Cory Littleton- Littleton will see an expanded role with Christian Harris ruled out for Sunday's game. The Texans LB core as a whole will have its hands full defending Robinson and Cordarrelle Patterson, who's expected to see more usage in Week 5.
