The Denver Broncos are fresh off their first win of the season. Sean Payton was able to break an embarrassing record with a thrilling comeback victory over the Chicago Bears.

If you missed the contest there are 2 big things you need to know. Broncos QB Russell Wilson is playing lights-out, shattering last year's totals right out of the gate. So much so that former Broncos legend Von Miller opened up about the QB and his future with the team.

And, RB Javonte Williams got injured, again.

On the bright side, rookie sensation Jaleel McLaughlin immediately stepped in and had himself a game. The undrafted rookie who happens to hold the NCAA All-Division career rushing record finished the game with seven carries for 72 yards and 3 catches for 32 yards and a touchdown.

McLaughlin was explosive and I have been pounding the table since the team took him about how he was going to be exceptional. Though a small sample size, it looks like the organization was able to hit a home run with yet another undrafted rookie.

All of that to say, the team got a positive update for Williams. Mike Klis from 9News reported that Javonte Williams has indeed returned to practice after suffering a quad injury.

Outside of McLaughlin and Williams, the RB room has left something to be desired this season. There's a very real chance McLaughlin has cemented himself behind Williams, taking over the recently acquired (and expensive) Samaje Perine.

Comparing totals, Perine has 18 carries for 66 yards and added 11 receptions for 95 yards through the air. McLaughlin, 13 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown with four catches for 25 yards and a touchdown.

If I am Sean Payton, I am using a two-headed monster in Williams and McLaughlin. Regardless, one of the top playmakers on the team returns. If the offensive line can hold up long enough, Williams is the type of player who can take any carry to the house.

Just keep winning, please?
