Detroit Lions' receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is everyone's favorite receiver in the state of Michigan. He's been that guy since 2021. It turns out there was a world where he could have been that years earlier. St. Brown could have been a Michigan Wolverine.

St. Brown was on the Bussin With the Boys podcast with former Michigan tackle Taylor Lewan recently and he was asked about USC being a part of the Big Ten now. In the middle of that he brought up a story about how he took an official visit to Michigan in 2017 and explained why he didn't want to commit to being a Wolverine.

"I Actually took an official to Michigan when I was coming out of high school. Michigan vs Michigan State, rainy like crazy. Michigan State won and I'm like, 'I can't go here.' Rainy like crazy. I'm from Southern California. I'm like, This rain is ridiculous number one, I couldn't catch a ball in this. Then I'm like, and they lost. Vibes were low, recruiting coordinator, wasn't feeling that, I'm good, bro."

St. Brown is referring to the 2017 matchup between Michigan and Michigan State where the Spartans won in an ugly 14-10 game. I can see why he felt the vibes were low in that one. It's bad for Michigan, but as a Michigan State guy, I'm happy that the Spartans were able to keep a super talented guy like St. Brown out of Ann Arbor.

As we know, St. Brown stayed in Southern California with USC and got drafted by the Lions in the fourth-round of the 2021 NFL Draft and the rest is history.
