On Thursday, ESPN predicted which draft selection each NFL franchise will have in the 2025 NFL Draft.

ESPN's prediction for the Buffalo Bills' draft pick suggests that they're expecting a big season from the AFC East franchise.

Here's how ESPN, via their Football Power Index, came up with their predictions.

From ESPN: Let's take a first look at the projected first-round draft order for 32 teams with ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI). The FPI projects the draft order by simulating the season 10,000 times. Game probabilities are based largely on the model's ratings for individual teams in addition to game locations. The order is based on the records the model believes the teams will have after 17 games and each team's average draft position in the simulations.

ESPN predicted that Buffalo will have the No. 26 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. They give the Bills just a 6.9 percent chance of landing a top 10 pick.

There are only two AFC teams that have a lower predicted first round pick than the Bills — the Kansas City Chiefs at No. 31 overall and the Baltimore Ravens at No. 29 overall.

On the flip side, ESPN predicts that the New England Patriots will have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Not only does this mean that ESPN thinks that the Bills will win the AFC East for a fifth straight season, but they also think Buffalo will be the No. 3 overall seed in the AFC (which means the Bills would host a first round playoff game). ESPN also thinks that Buffalo will finish with a better record than the Cincinnati Bengals.

Games obviously aren't played on paper. And models/projections mean absolutely nothing. But it's still interesting that after all the talk this offseason about the Bills and their Super Bowl window potentially closing that ESPN still views Buffalo as one of the best teams in the NFL.
