The NFL Draft is just around the corner. All the major free agency moves have been made. The prospect pro days are in the books. It's time to look ahead to potential NFL Draft picks for the Tennessee Titans that could turn them into contenders right away under new head coach Brian Callahan.

As of this writing the Tennessee Titans have eight selections in the 2024 NFL Draft:

  • Round 1, Pick 7 Overall
  • Round 2, Pick 38 Overall
  • Round 4, Pick 106 Overall
  • Round 5, Pick 146 Overall
  • Round 6, Pick 182 Overall
  • Round 7, Pick 227 Overall
  • Round 7, Pick 242 Overall
  • Round 7, Pick 252 Overall

In order to come up with the perfect seven round mock draft for the Titans I took into account all 24 formal pre-draft visits and interviews (as of this writing), remaining positional/contractual team needs, and utilized data from the last 150+ mock drafts over the last four weeks. Let's dive in to see what general manager Ran Carthon might do to help build a championship roster!

Round 1, Pick 7 – Malik Nabers, WR LSU

The Tennessee Titans have now met with Malik Nabers in more formal capacities than they have any other prospect in the NFL Draft. They met with him for an interview at the NFL Combine, his pro day, and he'll now visit the Titans on-site in Nashville too. As I outlined last week, Ran Carthon is not one to hide who he's interested in throughout the pre-draft process. Will Levis and Tyjae Spears both got three pre-draft private meetings last year as well.

Nabers led all college football wide receivers in yards per game last season. He would immediately would bring elite game-changing speed to a Titans offense that needs it. And new head coach Brian Callahan's offensive system operates almost exclusively with three wide receivers on the field. Hopkins, Ridley, and Nabers would be a top tier receiving corps that could help Will Levis develop.

Round 2, Pick 38 – Patrick Paul, OT Houston

Patrick Paul logged nearly 3000 snaps at left tackle for Houston, posting elite pass block win rate and efficiency numbers three seasons in a row (above the 98th percentile for all of FBS football). It's surprising that he's still not widely considered a consensus first round prospect in this year's draft. The depth of the offensive tackle class this year just simply pushes him down the board a bit.

The Titans met with him formally at the Combine, where he posted an 84th percentile A to Z Sports Athletic Composite. He would fit an immediate need on the offensive line. And he'd likely be considered a draft day steal by many, even if he ends up being the 9th or 10th offensive tackle prospect off the board at pick 38.

Round 4, Pick 106 – Kris Abrams-Draine, CB Missouri

Kris Abrams-Draine may be a bit undersized, but that didn't bother him at Missouri. He was consistently near or inside the top 20 in the nation in pass breakups per target last season and he didn't mind covering lead targets for opposing offenses.

I talked with him at the Combine about how he beats bigger wide receivers in coverage. Here's what he had to say.

The Titans have met with Abrams-Draine and two other cornerbacks (Jarvis Brownlee of Louisville and Caelen Carson of Wake Forest) that should be available in the draft around pick 106. Cornerback seems like their target position for round four.

Round 5, Pick 146 – Erick All, TE Iowa

I recently met with Erick All for an interview (set to publish at A to Z soon) and came away incredibly impressed. All broke out for Michigan back in 2021 with over 400 receiving yards, becoming a leader and team captain for the Wolverines. Sadly, he suffered a major back injury and subsequently had to have surgery, missing much of 2022. Then after transferring to Iowa he suffered yet another season ending injury, tearing his ACL in mid October of last fall.

It may sound like he's "injury prone", but the the truth is that when Erick All is healthy he a dynamic, explosive receiving and blocking tight end that offers perfect prototypical size. On multiple occasions he pulled away from defensive backs with verified 4.52-second forty times (or better) after making a catch like he does here against Penn State's Kalen King. He may not be 4.4-second forty-yard dash fast like the post below suggests, but he has certainly has NFL-ready athleticism.

The Titans are missing a do-it-all tight end with 6'4", 252-pound size on their roster at the moment. Chig Okonkwo is nice, but he's not necessarily a proven answer at tight end. Erick All would fill an underrated need and likely impress right away.

Round 6, Pick 182 – Cedric Johnson, EDGE Ole Miss

The Tennessee Titans return just two edge defenders who logged more than one sack last season: Harold Landry and Arden Key. They could still use some edge help, even if it's just rotational. Cedric Johnson has visited with the Titans this spring formally and posted a 96th percentile Athletic Composite Score at the NFL Combine. He could immediately provide a size-speed combination off the edge that the Titans currently don't quite possess with his 260-pound frame and elite Burst Score. Johnson actually profiles quite similarly to Denico Autry too, who the Titans just let go.

Round 7, Pick 227 – Rasheen Ali, RB Marshall

The Titans may not need to add a running back, but there are going to be a handful of versatile backs that fall this year. Rasheen Ali exploded back in 2021 for over 1700 yards from scrimmage before missing most of 2022 due to injury. He then dominated again last fall for another 1300+ yards from scrimmage for Marshall, yet has seemed like an afterthought for many in the NFL Draft process. He's caught 75 receptions in his last 28 games and has some return experience as well. The Titans have already met with Ali, so keep an eye on him if he's available late on day three.

Round 7, Pick 242 – Daequan Hardy, CB Penn State

Daequan Hardy is a bit small, but he would be the perfect dime and sub-package defensive back to slide in with L'Jarius Sneed, Chidobe Owuzie, and Roger McCreary. His 4.38-forty speed and 95th percentile Burst Score at the NFL Combine make him one of the most explosive athletes among all cornerbacks this year. Plus he would immediately plug in as the team's best kick and punt return man, which could prove crucial given the new kickoff rule changes! Hardy scored multiple punt return touchdowns last fall on just 17 attempts (and had another one called back due to a penalty that didn't have an effect on the play).

Round 7, Pick 252 – Jordan Magee, LB Temple

Jordan Magee is perhaps the single most underrated linebacker prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft class. He's an 82nd percentile athlete. He's versatile enough to consistently make plays in both the run and passing game. And he brings pressure almost every time he goes after the passer, snagging 11 sacks in the last two seasons alone. He never had gaudy tackle totals and played for a terrible Temple program, but he's certainly a day three target to keep an eye on for the Titans. They have already met with multiple linebacker prospects this draft cycle, but if they prioritize other positions in the early rounds Magee may get a look late.
