Center is a position with only one player in the discussion to be selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. But I think there may be more starting centers coming out of this class than people are projecting.
Below are my top 15 centers in the 2024 NFL Draft draft, all of which landed on my top 200 big board.
2024 NFL Draft Center Rankings
1. Jackson Powers-Johnson, Oregon

Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson's draft stock soared after his incredible week at the 2024 Senior Bowl. During the week of practice, his one-on-one reps could be used as "teach tape" for the center position. If there were any doubts on who the top center in the draft was prior to the Senior Bowl, I think he silenced them. And with him only being a one-year starter at Oregon, he honestly needed that type of performance to show that his unanimous All-American season last year wasn't a fluke.
Powers-Johnson graded out really well in both the passing and run game last season. Pro Football Focus gave him an 85.6 run block grade and a 90.6 pass block grade. The element of his game that I was the most impressed with was his ability to identify stunts coming and communicate with the rest of the offensive line. I think he can be a leader on the field for an offensive line group, which many teams like to have at the center position. While Powers-Johnson isn't a "lock" to be drafted in the first round, I think there are enough teams with a need for a starting center that he has a really good shot to hear his name called anywhere from pick 16 on in the first round.
2. Zach Frazier, West Virginia
3. Beaux Limmer, Arkansas
4. Sedrick Van Pran, Georiga
5. Tanor Borolini, Wisconsin
6. Hunter Nourzad, Penn State
7. Kingsley Eguakun, Florida
8. Drake Nugent, Michigan
9. Dylan McMahon, North Carolina State

North Carolina State's Dylan McMahon is coming off his first season as a full-time starter at center. He also started games at RG and LG during his college career. He actually started more games at RG during his five-year college career than any other position. McMahon doesn't have the prototypical size for an NFL center, and at times, you can see it causes issues for him on film. He definitely needs to be coached up at the next level before he can play meaningful snaps on the offensive line, but there are two reasons that I think he is one of the most intriguing day-three options at center.
The first reason is his ability to compete in training camp at the center and in either guard spot. Versatility on the offensive line when you are expected to be a depth piece is a massive advantage when it comes to roster cuts. And the second reason is McMahon's solid athleticism for an interior offensive line is going to excite teams, and if you can keep him on the roster with the ability to fill in at three different positions while attempting to help him reach his ceiling as a prospect is worth the flyer pick in round 5-7 in this class.
10. Andrew Raym, Oklahoma
11. Charles Turner III, LSU
12. Matt Lee, Miami
13. Justin Dedich, USC
14. Nick Samac, Michigan State
15. Nick Gargiulo, South Carolina
