Mock drafts are overrunning social media around the NFL currently. Just a week away from the 2024 NFL Draft, that should surprise no one. The New Orleans Saints have often selected a new offensive tackle in mocks, but a recent national media one changed their direction.

Peter Schrager and Field Yates created a special mock draft where they alternated picks and made trades. The Saints made an aggressive move in round one of their mock.

The Saints traded up in their unique mock draft to select LSU WR Malik Nabers.

Check out the full first round below.

Nabers would be an incredible addition to any NFL offense. For the Saints, a trio of Nabers, Chris Olave, and Rashid Shaheed would be among the best in the entire league.

As for the OL, the Saints would need to address that multiple times throughout the rest of this draft if this scenario played out.

They need another starting OT, and Ryan Ramczyk's future is cloudy due to a major injury.

All in all, a selection of Nabers would ignite the fan base. Many Saints fans also share the LSU fandom, and they have watched him dominate college football in recent years. He's arguably a top five prospect in this year's class.

That being said, a trade up into the top eight would be costly for New Orleans. They have just two picks in the first four rounds of this year's draft. In order to keep the 45th overall pick, they would probably need to send a day three pick this year and a day two pick in 2025 to facilitate a deal.

Depending on other offers, this type of move up could be quite expensive for the Saints.
