The Green Bay Packers ended the season playing their best football of the year.

They now look forward to 2024 with the hopes of taking yet another step as a team and will use the 2024 NFL Draft to do just that.

In a new two round A to Z Sports Mock Draft the Packers addressed both sides of the ball.

Round 1, Pick 25: Graham Barton, OT/G, Duke

"The Packers' offensive line situation is interesting. They chose to release star OT David Bakhtiari and already had other question marks on their line. So, a player like Graham Barton out of Duke could be a wise choice for them to consider. Barton showed he can play tackle at a high level, but some believe he is a better fit at guard at the pro level. The Packers can allow him to compete at both spots in camp and figure out who their best five on the offensive line truly are."

The Packers seem to have found a franchise QB again with Jordan Love, who had an excellent first full season as their full-time starter. And they have an abundance of young talent in the WR room, so finding more talent to protect Love should be a top priority with their first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Graham Barton has the ability to play both tackle and guard, and I think he could do either at a high level at the next level. The Packers could allow him to compete at both and figure out where he fits best as they attempt to build out their offensive line post-David Bakhtiari.

Round 2, Pick 41: Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M

Fan bases typically don't like to draft a LB this high, but I urge you not to look at Texas A&M's Edgerrin Cooper as just an LB. Cooper was asked to rush the passer, drop back in coverage, and stop the run in college. Pro Football Focus graded him well in all three areas, earning an 86.4 pass rush grade, an 87.6 run defense grade, and an 85.5 coverage grade. If used correctly, Cooper can be a legitimate weapon on the defensive side of the ball. And I think he would be a perfect addition in Green Bay.

Round 2, Pick 58: Max Melton, CB, Rutgers

While the Packers have some young talent in the secondary, I think a CB is still very in play early in the 2024 NFL Draft. And a player that I think could fit them nicely is Rutgers' Max Melton. Melton fits the athletic profile the Packers typically covet at the CB position. From those I've spoken to around the league, he is going to be drafted much higher than I previously thought (I projected him to be drafted in the 3rd or 4th). Melton projects best as an outside CB but has shown he can also play in the slot. He also has experience playing on special teams and doing so at a high level.
