The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they have agreed to terms with veteran free agent outside linebacker Randy Gregory.

Gregory was most recently with the San Fransisco 49ers in a reserve role, recording 2.5 sacks in 12 games. The former 2015 second-round pick has also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos throughout his seven-year career.

His best year came in 2021 when he recorded six sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception with the Cowboys. Gregory has battled a lot of obstacles throughout his NFL career. He has been suspended for violating the league's substance abuse policy four times, with two of them costing him full seasons.

Gregory has also fought through numerous injuries and has never played a full season. He will provide Tampa Bay with depth at outside linebacker following the release of Shaq Barrett back in February. The Bucs could still look to add some pass rushing help in the draft, but the signing of Gregory gives them some flexibility.
