On Tuesday, the Dallas Cowboys signed back-to-back UFL players in linebacker Willie Harvey Jr. and cornerback Gareon Conley.

They might not be done tapping into the talent well of the spring pro football league as Birmingham Stallions head coach Skip Holtz revealed on Next Round Live that the Cowboys will be working out DE Jonathan Garvin this week.

Garvin, who won the UFL Championship with the Stallions, finished the 2024 season with 3.5 sacks, one tackle for loss, two forced fumbles in 10 games.

The interesting part about Garvin is that he will be only 25 years old when the season starts despite coming out of college in 2020 and being drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round. He was with the Packers until 2022.

He's got traits to work with, particularly 34-inch arms that rank in the 73rd percentile per MockDraftable. He also scored an impressive 9.04/10 in Relative Athletic Score back in 2020. At 257 pounds, Garvin is on the light sight of things and Mike Zimmer would likely like him to be slightly bigger but he could make it work.

Contrary to Willie Harvey Jr. and Gareon Conley, Garvin would be facing a much more difficult path to the Cowboys' 53-man roster if signed.

Behind Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence, the Cowboys have promising young players in Sam Williams and second-round draft pick Marshawn Kneeland. Additionally, players like Viliami Fehoko and Tyrus Wheat will be fighting for a place on the rotation.

That being said, you can never have too many defensive ends as an NFL team and it'll be interesting to see if the Cowboys raise the number of UFL/USFL players on their team all the way up to five including Brandon Aubrey and KaVontae Turpin. So far, they've hit on their bets but now are expanding their additions from specialists only to actual offense/defense players.

For now, Garvin is focused on impressing NFL teams that take a look at him.
