We have officially reached the part of the calendar where mock drafts can drop the "Way too early" tag ahead of, "2025 NFL Mock Draft".

With the season starting next month, and fall camp ramping up in a few weeks, college football is almost here.

But when projecting how many Crimson Tide players would be selected in April's draft, Matt Miller of ESPN only went with one, and it wasn't Jalen Milroe.

Tyler Booker is the sole Alabama player selected in latest mock

The Ravens lost guards John Simpson and Kevin Zeitler to free agency and did very little to replace them, relying now on backup Ben Cleveland and former seventh-rounder Andrew Vorhees. Booker, meanwhile, is the best guard in the nation and would have likely been the top true guard in the 2024 draft class had he been eligible. He's powerful and pancakes defensive linemen with ease. In 2023, he surrendered just four pressures and one sack over 13 starts at left guard. This is the type of no-nonsense interior blocker whom the Ravens covet. – Matt Miller, ESPN

Booker is a great player and well deserving of a first-round projection, with Miller putting him in the perfect spot given Baltimore's power-heavy scheme and propensity to run the football.

But back to Jalen Milroe.

Look, no one who is objective thinks Jalen Milroe is a ready-made QB. He has pocket concerns, accuracy limitations, and needs more development when it comes to the intricacies of high-level passing attacks.

But Milroe's late-season run nearly had him in the Heisman conversation last season, and that was before new HC Kalen DeBoer came to T-town. So here's the thing, if Milroe showed the rare ability to improve in-season and at such a high level, what do you think is gong to happen after a full spring and fall camp with one of the best QB coaches in recent college football memory?

And I understand that asking DeBoer to work out all of Milroe's kinks after a few months together is a little rich. But what isn't rich, is thinking that one of the most "toolsy" passers in the country won't continue to ascend in his development and push for a first-round slot in one of the weaker QB drafts in the past decade.
