Detroit Lions legend Glover Quin got a big honor on Sunday when he was inducted into the New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame. Quin played three seasons for the University of New Mexico from 2006 to 2008.

Quinn was big for the Lobos. He was a three time All-Mountain West player and was voted to be the team's MVP in 2008. At the time, no defensive player had earned that honor since Brian Urlacher did in 1998.

Quin was selected by the Houston Texans in the fourth-round of 2009 NFL Draft and he spent four seasons there before signing with the Lions in 2013. It was in Detroit where Quin had his career highs.

The 2014 season was a very special year for Quin. He led the league in interceptions with seven and earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors for it. He was considered to eb the best safety in the entire NFL that season.

He also gave us that incredible moment against the Saints when he picked off Drew Brees late in the game and helped set up the game winning drive. Maybe one of the more memorable interceptions of the last 10 years for the Lions.

Congrats to Quin on this big achievement. You can watch his acceptance speech and see pictures of this honor here:
