The Professional Women's Hockey League held their 2024 draft in Minneapolis on Monday and the Detroit Lions had something to do with it believe it or not. No, they weren't there physically, but they were there in spirit.

The New York Sirens fifth-round pick Ell Hartje wore a sweet vintage Lions jacket on stage after being selected.

The forward is coming off four successful years at Yale and was named the team's captain for the 2024 season. She was also the Ivy League Player of the Year in 2023 with 13 goals and 39 assists in 33 games.

Hartje is a native of Detroit and attended Detroit Country Day. She was clearly repping the city and her team in her biggest moment and that's awesome. The Lions loved it too.
