Malik Nabers was brought to the Big Apple to be a superstar. It's safe to say the New York Giants rookie wide receiver has the quotes of one after delivering a classic line during mandatory minicamp.

On Tuesday, Nabers was asked about last Thursday's practice, when he took over practice by turning heads through highlight play after highlight play.

"That's just me, when I'm out there on the field just everything I do is just me," Nabers told reporters while exuding confidence. 'I can't really say, “I can bring it to the NFL' – I can only just play at my level of competition. That was one of those days I was playing at a high level. I'm just glad I got to showcase that with the team. That was really it."

That's when Nabers was asked if he had landed inbounds in a particular play where he made a "leaping, highlight-reel catch on a (Drew) Lock improv rollout and shot play over top of the safeties" (as described by Pat Leonard).

He delivered a classic line right then and there: "Of course. I'm always in bounds."

Man, oh man. If that's not some WR1 type stuff, I don't know what is. I'd be printing the T-shirts right now if I was head of merchandising for the Giants.

Nabers has seen a lot of work with backup QB Drew Lock as Daniel Jones' rehab keeps him off the field during 11-on-11 drills but that should change when training camp kicks off later in the summer.

For now, it's fun to see Nabers is capable of producing highlights for the Giants even if it's in spring practice. The leaping grab above is far from the only crazy video of the rookie we've seen so far, as he's made even "simple" routes look impressive thanks to his catch radius.

Take the below clip as an example of him snatching a football out of the air when it seems like it'll be just out of reach.

The intense practicing isn't a mere coincidence.

"That's how it's supposed to be," Nabers said about practicing at such a high level. "Every time I'm out there practicing, I'm trying to be better. The main focus is to get 1% better when I’m out there on the field; try to bring a level of energy to the team; be a great teammate and be that guy on the field that wants to practice and wants to play here."

No one knows how Nabers' career in the NFL will turn out. But hearing him talk makes one thing clear: New York fans will love the kid.
