It took longer than most expected, but the Tennessee Titans added to its wide receiver room with Tulane's Jha'Quan Jackson.

Jackson, who stand at five-foot-nine and 188 pounds, projects as a slot receiver with his 4.42s 40-yard dash time and quick twitch movements in space. He reunited with his college roommate Tyjae Spears who was a third-round pick by the team in last year's draft.

Spears was actually in attendance at Jackson's draft party and was there when his old roomie got the call from general manager Ran Carthon and head coach Brian Callahan.

Before he could fully unleash his excitement, Jackson had to double check with Callahan just to make sure it was him who would hear his name announced in Detroit.

Titans fans should share a similar excitement with the pick. Tennessee set out to add speed at the wide receiver position and did just that with this pick, along with an element of elusiveness.

Jackson totaled 439 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 26 receptions in his final season at Tulane. However his ability in the return game positions him as the leading candidate to handle punt return duties.

Jackson handled 59 punts in his collegiate career accumulating 677 punt return yards (11.5 yards per return) and one electrifying touchdown against the Memphis Tigers.

Jackson also has 30 kickoff returns under his belt averaging 22.1 yards per return. He did not field a kickoff in 2023 as he became a focal point in Tulane's passing attack.
