2025 four-star quarterback Madden Iamaleava, the younger brother of Tennessee Vols quarterback Nico Iamaleava, is inching closer to announcing his commitment.

And there are two programs that are standing above the rest in the battle for the California native.

Iamaleava told Rivals.com this week that Nebraska and UCLA are his top two programs as he enters the home stretch of his recruitment.

“I would say UCLA and Nebraska are the top two right now,” said Iamaleava to Rivals.com.

Iamaleava visited UCLA last weekend and he's expected to check out Nebraska before the end of the month.

Iamaleava, 6-foot-3/185 lbs from Downey, CA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 11 quarterback in the nation and the No. 13 player in the state of California.

While Nebraska appears to be seriously in the mix to land Iamaleava, UCLA has to be considered the favorites entering the spring/summer months.

UCLA has the advantage of being close to Iamaleava's hometown of Downey (the football facilities are about an hour away, depending on Los Angeles traffic), which could be too much of an advantage for Nebraska to overcome.

Other programs could still get in the mix for Iamaleava before he makes his decision. But for now, it looks like it's down to two programs. And if I had to bet on where he'll land, my money would be on UCLA.
