The Philadelphia Eagles bolstered their secondary room some more in NFL free agency.

After signing C.J. Gardner-Johnson last week, the Eagles signed versatile defensive back Tyler Hall, NBC Sports Dave Zangaro reported. 

The Eagles today signed 25-year-old cornerback Tyler Hall.

Hall went undrafted out of Wyoming in 2020 and has played in 31 career games with 6 starts. He started three games in each of the last two seasons with the Raiders. He has experience playing in the slot.

Hall, 25, originally went undrafted out of Wyoming in 2020. He had short stints at the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Rams before spending the last two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders. 

Hall has appeared in 31 games with six starts, logging 46 tackles, one sacks and four pass breakups. 

Hall has experience playing in the slot/nickel and outside, as well as at safety. 

According to Andrew DiCecco of Insidethebirds.com Hall had "multiple offers" because of his versatility, adding that the Eagles plan to use him at nickel.

The Eagles struggled to find a reliable slot corner this past season while starter Avonte Maddox dealt with injuries. 

Maddox was released ahead of free agency and there's still a chance they bring him back, but they don't seem eager to. 

Hall, for now, is viewed as a depth piece behind James Bradberry, Zech McPhearson and Kelee Ringo, but who knows how the offseason competition could go for him.
