The Jacksonville Jaguars have made several moves this week as they gear up for the 2024 free agency period, where they could be very active.
They already released veteran safety Rayshawn Jenkins and franchise-tagged Josh Allen. Now, they made another move to save the Jaguars around $17 million in cap space, according to Over the Cap.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars have plans to release cornerback Darious Williams to create cap space. Williams, a veteran, had a decent year last season, as he finished with nine passes defended and four interceptions.
Williams is a guy that will not have trouble finding a new team. He's a pretty good player, but the Jaguars want to head in a new direction and need the cap space to help sign Josh Allen.
It appears they will head to the draft for the cornerback position, maybe more than once, too.
