A national sports talk show host took a shot at Tennessee Vols guard Dalton Knecht after UT's win against the South Carolina Gamecocks on Wednesday night. 

Tennessee clinched the regular season SEC championship with the win. 

After the win, during a somewhat lowkey celebration, Knecht pulled a Joe Burrow and pointed to his ring finger. 

The gesture didn't sit well with The Maggie and Perloff Show's Andrew Perloff (formerly of The Dan Patrick Show). 

"Winning a regular-season SEC title gets the ring celebration? Dalton Knecht is incredible but gotta have bigger Tournament goals," tweeted Perloff. 

Like Knecht said after the game, winning a regular season SEC championship is something he can share with his kids and family down the road. It's a special moment that he and his teammates will remember forever — regardless of how the season plays out. 

But while Knecht was eager to celebrate the Vols' SEC regular season championship, he was quick to point out that the job isn't finished yet. 

"It feels great," said Knecht after the game. "Coming here, new team and stuff, we were all doing hard work and we got the job done. But at the same time the job is not finished. We still have the SEC Tournament and the big one.”

Winning the regular season SEC championship was just one of Tennessee's goals. And they checked that box on Wednesday night in Columbia. 

Knecht made it clear that the Vols still have bigger goals they want to reach. I'm not sure how pointing at his ring finger after winning a ring diminishes any of those goals. 

Maybe Perloff just needed something to complain about on Wednesday evening.
