The Denver Broncos recently cut ties with Russell Wilson, two years after they traded for him, and gave him a massive contract extension before even watching him play a snap. Well, now, the Las Vegas Raiders should capitalize on the Broncos' mistake.

The first year Wilson was with the Broncos, it was terrible. They finished with the worst offense in football, but a lot of that could have been put on Nathaniel Hackett's shoulders. Then, last year, the Broncos were nearly a playoff team, and Wilkson actually played well. He was a top 15-20 quarterback in the league if you ask me.

Now, after being let go, and the Broncos are expected to eat up a large part of the contract, the Raiders should capitalize. I wrote earlier during his offseason that if Wilson takes a veteran minimum contract for a starting position, it wouldn't be a bad idea for the Raiders to use him as their bridge quarterback.

The way things are looking, it's going to be very hard for the Raiders to trade up high enough to get one of the top three quarterbacks in the draft. So, why not go ahead and take a swing on Wilson, who still has a ton of juice left?

You can still grab a QB in the draft on day two and have them sit behind Wilson for a year, much like the Kansas City Chiefs did when they drafted Patrick Mahomes.

Not to mention, it appears that Russell Wilson's camp is telling him to sign with the Raiders, too.

According to Cecil Lammey, a Digital Talent for DenverSports.com, Wilson is interested in joining the Raiders, and his camp is telling him to do that. Now, how much he listens to them is another thing. However, as of Friday, Wilson has been spotted at a Pittsburgh airport, where he could possibly be heading to meet with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wilson will have choices to make, and he and the Raiders should strongly consider the move.
