Mike Evans had a hard time deciding what he wanted to do. Free agency was coming in less than two weeks. He admittedly was intrigued by the prospects of free agents and potentially joining another team.
However, an eleventh-hour talk with his wife Ashli last Friday evening apparently helped the veteran wideout decide that staying in Tampa was ultimately what he should do.
The quote that Evans is referencing is the post from the movie Wolf of Wall Street where Leonardo DiCaprio's character announces with an f-bomb that he's not leaving his company. Evans posted that on Twitter after agreeing to terms with the Buccaneers on Monday.
Evans' decision to return to Tampa Bay is particularly remarkable given that Evans was pegged by many pundits as the top wide receiver free agent on the market, and by a wide margin at that. The Cincinnati Bengals put the franchise tag on Tee Higgins, followed later by the Colts doing the same with Michael Pittman, Jr.

However, the phrase "happy wife, happy life" isn't just a myth, and it sounds like Ashli has loved the Tampa Bay area as much as Mike has over the last decade.
Buccaneer fans are undoubtedly very thankful for that.
