Five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton was one of the Tennessee Vols' biggest recruiting targets during the 2024 cycle.

Tennessee was one of the frontrunners for Seaton, but he eventually signed with Deion Sanders and Colorado.

Seaton didn't immediately sign with Colorado during the early signing period this past December, which led to speculation that Tennessee and Maryland, Seaton's hometown school, were still in the mix.

After a couple of days of speculation, however, Seaton finally signed with the Buffaloes.

On Wednesday, Seaton met with reporters at Colorado. And he explained why he didn't sign with Colorado as soon as the early signing period got underway.

"We [were] in Miami, we just didn't have [any] wi-fi," said Seaton when asked about the signing day drama. "So we couldn't submit the form. We just didn't have any wi-fi, so the form couldn't get submitted to get signed. So that was crazy."

That feels like a diplomatic answer from Seaton. At the time, instead of tweeting that there was a wifi issue, he seemingly let the drama take on a life of its own. At one point, Seaton went on Instagram live and he discussed the programs that had reached out to him (such as Nebraska) and he shouted out Vols signee Boo Carter.

Ultimately, Seaton ended up at Colorado. So it doesn't really matter what went down for those couple of days before he signed with the Buffaloes. Still, it's interesting that he suggested on Wednesday that the only reason he didn't sign earlier than he did was because of a wifi issue.

Moving forward, if Seaton eventually ends up in the NCAA transfer portal, Tennessee will be a team to watch thanks to the relationship they built with him during the recruiting process.
