The Kansas City Chiefs have begun to release players during 53-man roster cuts.
The first of their moves was to release former 2021 fourth-round draft pick Joshua Kaindoh, who struggled to catch on with the team despite boasting elite traits as a pass-rusher. The Florida State product failed to produce in the opportunities where he has seen the field since his draft selection. In his three regular-season appearances since his rookie season, Kaindoh has recorded no official statistics.
He put together a strong training camp and finished the preseason on a high note this year with a sack against the Cleveland Browns. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough.
Should Kaindoh clear waivers, the Chiefs would like him back on the practice squad. We'll know whether that happens after the waiver claim period expires at 11:00 a.m. CT on Wednesday.
This could also be the end of Kaindoh's tenure in Kansas City should he catch on with another club.
