The 53-man rosters are finally here across the NFL, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made the group clear that they believe gives them the best chance at competing in 2023.

This is an important year for a lot of people in Tampa, players and coaches included. From Todd Bowles trying to prove he belongs to Baker Mayfield trying to show that he is a starting quarterback, this roster is going to have a lot of scrutiny attached to it from the jump.

The one issue that is going to make hard life for everyone is just how unproven this group is, and it is hard to say that everything will be sunshine and rainbows going forward with such a distinct lack of depth.

This team is going to be extremely green. There is almost no other way to put it.

Rookies via the draft and undrafted free agents are going to be in starting roles and immediate backup positions across the roster, and that usually isn't a sign of an easy year on the horizon.

Some of these guys could ball out as they did in the preseason and prove that they do belong-undrafted guys do it all the time, but acting like this roster is even good by comparison to other teams is a tall task with so many question marks.

Thirteen rookies (six undrafted free agents) was always what was coming when the bill came due from the Tom Brady era. It could be a good thing if the team is able to develop these guys over the next year, but growing pains are absolutely coming.

This is going to be a tough years for the Buccaneers. We've been saying it for a while.

The homers may try to argue against that point, which isn't always difficult due to some genuine quality starters across the roster, but the total lack of depth and experience beyond those top guys is going to prove problematic in a sport where injuries are all too common.

Get ready folks. This Bucs team could end up being very fun to watch, but don't go into this year with wins being the only way to gauge success. That will only lead to disappointment.
