Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the greatest tight end of all time, has several different looks we have seen throughout the years. One of the more recent ones that have stuck with the fans is what we know as "El Travedor," where his mustache looks similar to Andy Reid's.
Recently, on his New Heights Podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, the two discussed the new look and why he changed it around this time of year.
"A few years ago, I always brought it around training camp because that's when I don't have any paid appearances, or I'm not subject to, like, doing anything where I have to, like, team up with a company and look presentable," Kelce said.
"I would assume it's just not as recognizable. So it's like, it's actually, it's pretty funny. I'll go somewhere with a hat and sunglasses on, and nobody knows, hide in the trees. It started because of my head coach, Andy Reid. So that's where it started. Then, every year, I've just done it, and I always just look at Coach Reid, and I just start brushing that thing. Coach, I'm a Hawaiian shirt away from looking just like you."
Just from thinking back and realizing that he always has the stache during training camp, that makes sense. It also makes sense that he doesn't have a ton of paid appearances or anything like that during training camp, where he is in St. Joseph for weeks and weeks at a time.
Kelce also added in one other thing that some fans may find fascinating.
"El Travedor is here to stay," Kelce said. "I plan on rocking this thing till we lose."
We could see the stache for a while.
