The Cleveland Browns came away with a ton pressure against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1 and a lot of that had to do with Myles Garrett of course.

Garrett was moved around a decent amount against Cincinnati and created pressure from the outside, inside, and even from a new spot that could cause big issues for opposing offenses. The Browns’ all-time leader in sacks had one of them against the Bengals, as well two tackles.

Lining up Garrett at inside linebacker to blitz behind a defensive front just seems unfair. As you can see above, the few times he did that the Browns were successful in each one. The All-Pro pass rusher even had a bit of fun doing it, bringing his admiration for the game of basketball into it.

There aren’t many players in the NFL built like Garrett. He is a freak of nature at his size, build, and the speed he combines it with. He’s an explosive pass rusher who has unbelievable strength and bend.

First-year defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz is already having fun with the best player on defense, giving him more unique ways to get after the pass rusher. It is something that noticeably was lacking in the defense of Joe Woods the last couple of seasons.

Garrett is playing alongside the best talent he has in Cleveland and that much showed in the defense’s dominant showing in Week 1. If the Browns are going to give Garrett snaps from inside linebacker (literally), this may be trouble for the rest of the NFL.
