Behind the scenes programming has begun to take a hold of the NFL in recent years.  Hard Knocks quickly gained a lot of popularity.  Most recently, Patrick Mahomes' life during the Chiefs' 2022 championship season on Netflix's "Quarterback" has attracted fans from around the league wanting to get a close up look at one of the top players on the planet.

It appears that some Tennessee Volunteers will be joining that trend shortly.

According to a report from On3, five Tennessee Volunteers will be a part of an NIL program this fall that will give behind the scenes exclusive access to the lives of said players.

Included in that list are two prominent members of Tennessee's 2023 offense in wide receiver Dont'e Thornton, Jr. and RB Jabari Small.  Thornton has been a relative mystery since transferring from Oregon in January 2023.  According to the man himself, he got up to a top speed of 24.3 mph while at Oregon, which is beyond blazing if true.  How he could fit into Tennessee's offense and what he could do has been an intriguing conversational topic for Vol fans since he arrived.

Now that mystery and intrigue appear set to be revealed in a very big – and very personal – way.

According to the report, Thornton, Small, and the other three players – DL Omari Thomas, DL Caleb Herring, and LB Elijah Herring – will participate in the program called "Vol Access" with 5-7 minute episodes in which players will allegedly have complete creative control over the content.  The program is being put on by the Tennessee NIL collective The Volunteer Club.  Fans will be able to purchase the program for a monthly payment of $9.99.

Tennessee fans are hoping that the 2023 season is going to be a great one that ends up with a college football playoff appearance.  It seems like this new NIL program will help make it an even more memorable journey along the way.
